Title from accompanying piece of paper, AR e 234b, which reads: 1492 still in the wee hours of the morning, Columbus flagship gently runs aground as he is moseying along the coast of Haiti (mainly bartering for gold) and Christmas Day is spent unloading her. (However meantime she got worse and was finally was abandoned, which Columbus took as a provident opportunity to leave a settlement of men to carry on the gold hunt.) |
