Prompted by John Stuart Mill's arguments for Woman's suffrage, the cartoon shows women in charge of an institute of higher learning surrounded by women running, rowing, fighting, drinking, writing and debating. Nov. 5th, cited near a woman punching a man was the election date in the US in 1867. |
